Briar Rose Flowers – Warkworth, Rodney District

Website: www.briarroseflowers.co.nz

Owner: Briony Finlayson

Bio: “Thoughtful floristry for life’s meaningful moments in Warkworth and Rodney, and surrounding areas.”

Flowers have been woven through my life since childhood, when I spent afternoons in my grandmother Bertie’s flower shop making posies beside her. Although I first built a career in childcare while raising my children, the pull back to floristry never left me. Training at MIT Auckland felt like coming home.

For the past ten years I’ve owned Briar Rose Flowers, proudly serving the small town of Warkworth and the wider Rodney community. Through motherhood, heartbreak, COVID, and the unpredictable rhythm of retail, I’ve learned that strength is about showing up, staying grounded, and creating beauty and connection for the moments that matter.

Day 5 Design, Branding, Websites & Digital Marketing - Pukekohe, Auckland & Nationwide New Zealand

Website: www.day5design.co.nz

Founder: Elizabeth Qiu

Bio: “You bring the spark. We build it into reality — one step at a time, together.”

After being made redundant in March 2025, Elizabeth Qiu decided to turn that uncertainty into something of her own — a business she could shape and control on her own terms. So she started Day 5 Design while working full time and raising a family, with just a laptop, a love for design, and the determination to keep going. What began from nothing has grown into a business she's proud of, where every project gets the care it deserves.

Day 5 Design helps small businesses across New Zealand with branding and websites that actually feel like them. If you're working in someone else's business, you're building their dream — every day feels like Friday when it's truly yours. Not sure where to start? Get in touch for a free consultation, no pressure at all.
